May 22, 2009 -- the day started with the iHeartParks committee meeting with K-5 students from Cedarhome and Utsalady Elementary Schools.  The project's lead designer worked with each grade level to design their ideal playground.  Students from throughout the district provided several hundred additional concepts (which you can look at starting with the "designed by kids" tab to your left. 

 

The designer spent a few hours in the afternoon reflecting on everything he had been told and drawn.  At 6:30pm the drums rolled at the Camano Community and Senior Center as the design was debuted and the race began to build our community's playground within the next twelve months.
